Jordanians’ perception of the US drops by 1 per cent - Survey

Some 19 per cent of Jordanians have a positive perception of the US, according to an international survey released last week. The Pew Global Attitudes Survey indicated that Jordanians’ perception of the US dropped slightly, down from 20 per cent last year. According to the survey, which polled more than 24,000 people in 24 countries between March 17 and April 21 of this year, 79 per cent of Jordanians said they have an unfavourable view of the US, the highest percentage among the surveyed nations. A total of 37 per cent of Jordanian respondents viewed the US as an “enemy”, 22 per cent as a “partner”, while 34 per cent reported “neither”.
